Today I made a chickpea snack that was actually really good and the simplest recipe!
You take a can of chickpeas (or soak some dry ones for the appropriate time).
Rinse and pat dry.
Spread on a baking tray.
Sprinkle with spices – like paprika, cayenne pepper, turmeric or chilli flakes – whatever takes your fancy!
Bake in the oven (I had it at 200C fan forced) for 40 minutes. Give it a shake every 10 minutes to ensure an even coating of spices and even drying.
Cool down and eat!
The calories are only what’s present in the can of chickpeas (around 130 cal for 100g snack). I will be taking these for my desk drawer at work.
